C & C | Leg It | Handmade | Shaving Soap | Cloves | Cedarwood & Geranium
Shaving soap bars are still new to many, with some wondering why they should even think about switching. Making the change will make a dent in your single-use plastic waste and help out your bank balance – and without forsaking a comfortable shave. The beauty world tends to agree that shaving soaps can last up to 3 times as long as their packaged counterparts – saving you money every shave. And after a few shaves you won’t think twice about going back.
Leg It comes in a 120g plastic-free pack, and creates a great lather for a frictionless-feel shave that cleanses and strengthens skin as it goes. I chose bentonite clay as the base for Leg It because it does so much; it naturally exfoliates, unplugs pores, softens and assists with healing... it does all the leg work! And vitally for a shaving soap, it provides a nice glide as your razor does its thing. The clove, cedarwood and geranium oils create exciting scents but do so much more. They’re an anti-ageing, antibacterial and antimicrobial powerhouse that exfoliate with the bentonite clay, increase blood flow and reduce the appearance of scarring. Vegetable glycerine locks all this goodness into your skin and keeps it vegan-friendly.
Leg it is a handmade shaving soap bar, so the weight is approximate.

What are shaving soaps bars?
Shaving soaps are an alternative to out-of-the-can creams and gels. Barbers find that shaving soaps either reduce or eliminate the irritation experienced from supermarket product shave. Whether you apply it directly to your skin or lather it up using an eco-friendly sponge, Leg It will create a thicker barrier to protect your skin.
Are shaving soaps better than creams and gels?
In my humble opinion, yes. And I’m not alone! You’ll find the lather is either the same or better than a shaving gel, and without the additives you find in commercial products they are gentler to your skin. They have the added bonus of moisturising and softening your skin too.
Are shaving soaps cheaper than packaged creams and gels?
Shaving soaps cost more upfront but last a lot longer – and are far cheaper per shave. Compare the waste from a shaving bar and canned gel or cream to see how much you can avoid throwing away.
Are shaving soaps good for sensitive skin?
Absolutely. Because handmade shaving soaps don’t contain the nasty additives you often find in commercial cans, they’re naturally better suited to those with sensitive skin.
Do shaving soaps expire?
You’re looking at years to see your shaving soap expire or loose lathering effectiveness. So no need to worry!
