Pure | Shampoo Bar | Extra-Sensitive Skin | Unscented
This 90g shampoo bar will can wash baby’s head and your post-gym hair. Making it SLS and Paraben free (like all my products) is the first step to make it kind for all extra-sensitive scalps, next the oils; I’ve made sure they create a shampoo that is gentle to scalps without sacrificing how a good clean.
Shea butter is the magic that makes this shampoo work; it’s amazing at working itself and the other ingredients into your hair and scalp. A natural anti-inflammatory, Shea butter works as a cradle cap treatment too – its got something for everyone! Chamomile tea works with the Shea butter to sooth your scalp and soften your hair, creating a beautiful shine. Then Jojoba oil comes in to strengthen your hair, fight baldness and thinness while preventing dandruff too.
The Pure shampoo bar is choc full of benefits for young and old hair and will benefit your bank balance too. You’ll only need the one shampoo for everyone - plus shampoo bars last up to 3 times as long as bottled shampoos.

What’s a shampoo bar?
Are shampoo bars are just soap? Definitely not! The mechanics for making a shampoo bar are similar (I use a traditional, handmade cold process method) but different ingredients are selected for completely different purposes. Oils and combinations better suited to cleansing and nourishing your hair and scalp are used in shampoo bars.
Do shampoo bars work?
You might wonder if shampoo bars lather or leave residue. The first answer is yes, but you'll need to create the lather that is usually created by additives and chemicals found in store-bought shampoos. So rub, rub, rub and use water to aid the lathering process and enjoy the experience.
The question of residue is down to your water supply. If your water supply provides hard water (translation: contains lots of residual minerals) it can react and leave residue. I add natural citric acid to our bars to fight this, but you can get around it with a shower-head attachment or water-cider vinegar solution it it's still a problem.
Are shampoo bars good for coloured hair?
Handmade shampoo bars don’t contain the harsh chemicals that most commercial bottled shampoos contain; this can make them even better for coloured hair. You should always test on a small area the first time (like with all shampoos) but this one works great on my coloured hair!
Do shampoo bars expire?
Only if you wash your hair just a few times a year. Because shampoo bars are composed of oils, they can easily last up to 3 years without spoiling. Natural changes will occur as you use a shampoo bar like colour changes or scents maturing – but these are normal and won’t affect the wash.
Are shampoo bars cheaper than a bottled shampoo?
Definitely. It’s generally accepted in the beauty industry that shampoo bars last around 3 times longer than shampoo from bottles. So the upfront cost may be greater, but you'll save money each wash. Feel free to put it to the test and let me know!
Do you use conditioner with a shampoo bar?
It depends on your hair. You’ll find that shampoo bars are much gentler on your hair and won’t strip out natural oils like commercial shampoos. But if you need one, my conditioner bars will strengthen and treat your hair, leaving you feeling silky smooth.
